These terms apply to everyone who uses AirchyWebOS — players, club owners, coaches, league organisers, and anyone browsing the public pages. By signing up or using the service you agree to them.
The service is operated by Airchy Limited (“Airchy”, “we”, “us”). The contact for anything in these terms is support@airchy.com.
AirchyWebOS organises real-world badminton. The app helps you schedule sessions, manage queues, log scores, and split fees — it does not run your club for you. As a club owner, you are responsible for:
As a player, you agree to follow your club’s code of conduct, show up on time for the sessions you join, and pay the fees your club sets. Leaving a session after you’ve been billed does not refund the fee unless the club chooses to issue one — Airchy does not adjudicate fee disputes.
Stripe processes card payments on our behalf. Airchy never sees your card number; we receive only the metadata Stripe sends us (amount, currency, brand, last-four, and the Stripe customer / payment-intent IDs).
Clubs can sell prepaid session credit (club_member_credit_ledger). It is a club-specific balance against that club’s future session fees. It is not cash, it is not transferable, it does not earn interest, and it is not redeemable for money. If a club closes, unused prepaid credit expires with the club — refunds are at the club owner’s discretion.
The player wallet (player_wallet_balances) is a platform-wide balance used for court bookings. The same rules apply: not cash, not transferable, no interest, no redemption.
Coaches must hold a current DBS check (UK) or equivalent background screening in their jurisdiction before inviting a minor to the platform. The DBS-expiry cron (app/api/cron/dbs-expiry-check) suspends a coach’s ability to invite minors the moment their check lapses.
A coach who issues a Parent Portal token must have a verifiable parent/guardian relationship on file (the billing contact). Tokens expire automatically; we do not allow a portal link to remain valid once the relationship ends.
AirchyWebOS is a software tool. Badminton is a real-world activity with real-world risks. We do not insure your sessions, we do not guarantee the accuracy of ELO ratings, and we are not liable for injuries, lost property, or disputes between members. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of AirchyWebOS is limited to the amount you have paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim (which, for most free accounts, is zero).
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, the law, or our acceptable-use rules. We will usually warn first, but we reserve the right to act immediately in serious cases (fraud, safeguarding risks, abuse). You can terminate at any time via Settings → Delete account.
On termination, your profile is anonymised; match history, ELO history, and ledger entries are kept in their anonymised form so that other members’ records remain consistent (see the Privacy Policy).
We may update these terms. For material changes (anything that affects your rights or obligations), we will email active accounts at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Continuing to use AirchyWebOS after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute will be handled in the courts of England and Wales, unless your local consumer law gives you the right to bring the action closer to home.
